Pursuant to the restructuring cum listing exercise of Pacific & Orient Berhad (POB) in 1995, the entire share capital of the company was transferred to POB. To reflect its status as a member of the POB group, the company changed its name to P&O Capital Sdn. Bhd.

P&O Capital is a moneylender licenced under the Moneylenders Act, 1951.
